CSIBER Honors the Legacy of Founder Late Dr. A. D. Shinde through Academic and Social Initiatives

Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research (CSIBER), Kolhapur, organized a series of academic, social, and community outreach programmes from 3rd to 5th February 2026 to commemorate the enduring legacy of its visionary founder, Late Dr. A. D. Shinde, on the occasion of his 26th Memorial Day.

The commemorative programmes reflected Dr. Shinde's vision of promoting quality education, innovation, social responsibility, and community service. The three-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, researchers, alumni, and members of the public.

The programmes commenced on 3rd February with a Floral Tribute (Pushpanjali) at the memorial site, where faculty members, staff, students, and dignitaries paid homage to the founder and remembered his invaluable contributions to higher education.

The Late Prof. (Dr.) A. D. Shinde Memorial Central Library inaugurated "Anand Granthotsav – A Festival of Books & Knowledge," a three-day book exhibition showcasing academic, professional, research, and competitive examination books from leading publishers. The exhibition encouraged reading, research, and lifelong learning among students and academicians.

As part of the institute's commitment to social responsibility, the School of Social Work organized a Blood Donation Camp, inspiring students and staff to contribute towards a noble social cause. The Dhayaprant 2.0 programme was also conducted to promote community engagement and humanitarian values.

The School of Computer Science and Applications organized a series of technology-driven competitions, including Tech Trends (Poster Presentation), Code Craft (Software Demonstration), National Level Hackathon on Digital Tools, and Web Innovator (Web Development Competition). These events provided an excellent platform for students to demonstrate innovation, creativity, and technical excellence while fostering healthy academic competition.
Adding to the celebrations, Smt. Suniti Anandrao Shinde Mahila Mahavidyalaya organized its Annual Exhibition, showcasing students' creative works, innovative projects, and academic achievements.

The memorial programmes concluded on a note of gratitude and inspiration, reaffirming CSIBER's commitment to carrying forward the ideals of Late Dr. A. D. Shinde. Through these diverse academic, cultural, and social initiatives, the institute paid tribute to its founder's vision of creating an institution dedicated to excellence, innovation, and service to society.

As CSIBER celebrates its Golden Jubilee Year, the institute continues to uphold the values and principles established by its founder, inspiring generations of learners to contribute meaningfully to society through knowledge, integrity, and leadership.
