As part of its commitment to fostering academic excellence and thought leadership, Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research (CSIBER), Kolhapur, successfully organized the Late Prof. (Dr.) A. D. Shinde Memorial Lecture on 16 February 2026. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Anil D. Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, Executive Council, NAAC; Chairman, National Board of Accreditation (NBA); Chairman, National Educational Technology Forum (NETF); and Former Chairman, AICTE.

Delivering an inspiring lecture on "Synergy of Roots and Wings in Shaping the Future of Indian Higher Education," Prof. Sahasrabudhe emphasized the need for Indian higher education to remain deeply rooted in its rich cultural and academic heritage while empowering students with the skills and global outlook required to excel in an ever-evolving world.

The lecture highlighted the significance of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and the transformative vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, encouraging educators to evolve as mentors who foster innovation, creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning. He also emphasized the importance of building institutions that are globally competitive while remaining locally relevant, developing socially responsible and industry-ready graduates, and strengthening collaboration among academia, industry, and government to promote innovation and sustainable development.

The memorial lecture witnessed enthusiastic participation from academicians, researchers, industry professionals, students, and alumni, making it a vibrant platform for meaningful dialogue on the future of Indian higher education. The event reaffirmed CSIBER's commitment to nurturing excellence, innovation, and leadership while honoring the enduring legacy of Late Prof. (Dr.) A. D. Shinde.
