She has experience of more than 25 years in teaching and 3 years in the industries and NGO’s. Her research interest areas are domestic violence related to women, children and aged. She is also interested in CSR activities and has received grants from CSIBER. Dr. Sonia is twice a recipient of Best Teacher Award twice
She has published more than 15 research papers in different national and international journals and presented more than 20 papers in different international and national conferences. She is a co-author of “Child Rights, issues and concerns”. She has done minor research projects with UGC and organised FDP’s and conferences with ICSSR and ATAL. Presently, she is a BOS member of the social work program of CSIBER and a BOS syllabus reform committee member of Shivaji University, Karnataka University and University of Mysore. She has chaired and is a member of various statutory committees of CSIBER.
