MBA Department at CSIBER offers
MBA (General), MBA (Business Analytics) and MBA (Banking and Financial Services).

Our MBA programs are two-year, full-time programs with Choice-Based-Credit-System(CBCS) , in which the student is provided with a wide array of choices to choose his/her courses.

Our Programs are designed meticulously by integrating Core courses, Discipline-specific electives, Ability enhancement courses (AEC) and Generic electives.

We offer various AECs like oral and written communication, digital courses, Foreign languages, International Business, Tourism Management, Lean management to name a few to further sharpen the abilities of students and make them more employable. 

Our MBA programs offer DUAL specialization which gives a student not one, but two solid career choices. The student can choose six specializations viz; Finance, HRM, Marketing, Systems, Production and Agri-Business Management

Leveraging our Autonomy, we have been updating our course curriculum taking feedback from all our stakeholders from time to time to make students 'industry-ready'.

We focus on overall development of our students and use pedagogies that are a mix of lectures, field-based activities, industry visits, Library assignments, workshops, lectures by industry experts etc.

We have one-to-one mentoring to guide students whenever they need it.

The department has student clubs in finance, HR, marketing and also movie club through which students plan and initiate activities to enhance learning.

ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR MBA:

Eligibility conditions and requirements for admissions for admission to MBA (As per CET Cell, Government of Maharashtra, 2019):

 (1) Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate.-

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed minimum three year duration Bachelor's Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognized by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent ( at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons With Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;

(iii) Obtained non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2019).

(2) All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant

Candidature Candidates.-

(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;

(ii) Passed minimum Three year duration Bachelor�s Degree awarded by the University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons With Disability belonging

to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;

(iii) Obtained non zero positive score in one of the following examinations;

CET conducted by the Competent Authority (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2019), Common Admission Test conducted by Indian Institute of Management (CAT), Common Management Aptitude Test Conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (CMAT) Graduate Management Aptitude Test Conducted by Graduate Management Admission Council, United States of America(GMAT), Management Aptitude Test Conducted by All India Management Association (MAT), Entrance Test for Management Admissions conducted by The Association of Indian Management Schools (ATMA), Xavier Aptitude Test conducted by Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur (XAT), valid for admissions during the Academic year 2019-20.

FAQs:

  • How can I get admission for MBA at CSIBER?

Candidates interested to seek admission to our MBA Programs must appear for  MH-CET conducted by Govt. of Maharashtra every year. 

  • When do the MBA classes commence?

MBA classes commence as per the guidelines of CET Cell, mostly in August.

  • What is Dual specialization? Will I get dual specialization for Business Analytics and Banking and Financial Services?

Dual specialization means that the student can opt for two specializations in second year from Finance, HRM, Marketing, Systems, Production and Systems. 

For MBA(Business Analytics), one specialization will be Business Analytics and other can be chosen by the student as per his/her choice. For MBA (Banking and Financial Services) also, one specialization will be in BFS, while other can be chosen by the student.

  • What is the maximum period to complete MBA?

A period of 6 years is allowed for a student to complete his coursework and pass courses (subjects) of MBA. After 6 years, the performance becomes null and void.

  • What are the passing criteria for MBA?

Every course of 100 marks carries 4 credits. Out of 100,  60 marks will be based on semester-end written examination, while 40 marks will be based on internal/ concurrent evaluation. Internal/ concurrent evaluation will be based on class participation, quiz on Moodle and any two out of the following options like field-based activity, case studies, book review, scrap book, seminar, group assignment, viva voce, practical, mid-term test etc.

The student must secure 40% passing in semester end exam 50% passing in internal evaluation and combined passing  of 50%. for every course to pass the course.

  • Who will award the degree of MBA?
