Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research (CSIBER), Kolhapur, like every year, has organized alumnus day and has been concluded with great enthusiasm on 10th December 2023. Mr. S. M. Hudli, Chairman Hudli & Sons Group of Industries, Kolhapur, Dr. B. S. Sawant, director K. B. P Institute, Satara, Shri Sayaji Chavan, Senior Manager UPS Express India Pvt Ltd, Pune were chiefly present for the said program.
The program was presided over by Mr. S.Hudli, an entrepreneur and former student of CSIBER. Speaking in his speech, he said that, alumni of the college are the real asset. He expressed the opinion that, management science is changing with time and CSIBER has made favourable changes according to the needs of changing industries. Today in the 21st century, students need to develop skills according to the needs of the industry, like English language skills, computer knowledge and artificial intelligence skills are especially needed.
At the beginning of the program, introduction and welcome made by the Director of the college, Dr. S. P. Rath. In his introduction, gave information about the activities organized in CSIBER College, and expansion plans of the institute. Alumni of CSIBER College are working in top positions in corporate companies in more than 70 countries around the world; he opined that alumni are the glory of the institute.
Dr. Ravi Kishore Kumar, Executive Head-CSIBER Alumni Association, in his address informed the alumni about the various employability skills, CSR activities started by the alumni in the college. At the same time, he appealed to the former students to register on the Alma Shine web portal also. He expressed his hope to students to create opportunities for college students in the research field, as well as to give opportunities for their internships in their companies, as well as to provide job opportunities and to share their experiences with college students.
Dr. B. S. Sawant said in his speech that he is proud to be an alumnus of this college. 1986 Master of Computer Science course was first started in Maharashtra by CSIBER College. He expressed the opinion that, CSIBER has played an important role in his development. At the same time, he appealed to the CSIBER Institute to honour Alumni who have contribute to the society every year.
Mr. Sayaji Chavan said in his memoir that the contribution of CSIBER in his career graph is extraordinary. CSIBER gave students the power to stand on their feet and expressed the opinion of creating a distinct identity in the society. On thist occasion, Campus Chronicle, an alumni magazine, was unveiled by the chief guests.
Dr. Shruti Jamsandekar informed everyone about Alma Shine Web Portal and its features. She has also informed everyone about the Alumni Student Membership Program. A large number of alumni were present. The former students revealed their college memories and expressed their gratitude towards institute.
The program was compered by Prof. Urmila Chavan and Mrs. Devika Bhosale. Managing Trustee of CSIBER Institute Dr. RA Shinde, Trustee Dr. VM Hilge and trustee CA Rishikesh Shinde have extended their special support and guidance. Dr. Ravi Kishore Kumar gave vote of thanks for the said program.
